Pilot Service - Act as Safety Pilot
I am located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and am looking to take turns being a safety pilot,
to build up simulated instrument time to be used toward an Instrument Rating. I am an Instrument Ground Instructor (IGI) and have had enough
dual training towards the Instrument Rating to know what’s going on during an approach.
The ideal situation involves the safety pilot act as PIC, while the pilot under the hood is the
sole manipulator of the controls. This allows both pilots to log PIC time.
It is important to note the difference between “Acting PIC” and “Logging PIC”.
